Statements of Principles Updates

At the meeting of 14 April the RMA:
**determined Statements of Principles (SoPs) for:
- cluster headache (20 & 21 of 2010)
- Alzheimer-type dementia (22 & 23 of 2010)
- dislocation (24 & 25 of 2010)
- reactive arthritis (26 & 27 of 2010)
- non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (28 & 29 of 2010)
- gout (30 & 31 of 2010)
- joint instability (32 & 33 of 2010)
- iliotibial band syndrome (34 & 35 of 2010)

These SoPs revoke the SoPs previously determined for these conditions.

N.B. – This concludes the previously advertised investigations into:
» cluster headache syndrome [now known as – cluster headache]
» Alzheimer's disease [now known as – Alzheimer-type dementia]
» dislocation
» Reiter's syndrome [now known as – reactive arthritis]
» non-Hodgkin's lymphoma
» gout
» joint instability
» iliotibial band syndrome


**determined Amendment Statement of Principles (SoPs) for:
- lumbar spondylosis (36 & 37 of 2010)
- intervertebral disc prolapse (38 & 39 of 2010)
- depressive disorder (40 & 41 of 2010)
- anxiety disorder (42 & 43 of 2010)
- spondylolisthesis & spondylolysis (44 & 45 of 2010)

All of the above SoPs will take effect from 12 May, 2010.

This amendment, neoplasm of the pituitary gland was determined in accordance with the Specialist Medical Review Council Declaration No.13 dated 25 February 2010. Pursuant to section 196B(13) of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act (1986) the date of effect for this Instrument 46 of 2010 is 10 March 2010.

- subdural haematoma
- acute labrum tear
- sarcoidosis (focussed review)
- neoplasm of the pituitary gland (focussed review)
