Tribunal Advocacy Course (TAC)

It is planned to conduct the Tribunal Advocacy Course (TAC) in early July 2014.

TAC Refresher Course
Planning of the TAC Refresher course requires the details of Level 4 Advocates who want to attend.
The basis of where the refresher course would be conducted, to attain the best economical use of funding, the course would be held in the state where most of the nominees come from and others would be transported and accommodated in the chosen state.

Statements of Principles Update

In an out of session decision, the RMA:
Determined Amendment Statements of Principles (SoPs) for:
  • posttraumatic stress disorder....................19/2014
The decision is in accordance with the Direction of the Specialist Medical Review Council and has effect from 19 December 2013.
This decision amends SoP No. 5/2008 concerning posttraumatic stress disorder.



At the meeting of 11 December 2013 the RMA:

Determined Statements of Principles (SoPs) for:
  • heart block……..………..........................1/2014 & 2/2014
  • dental pulp and apical disease….............3/2014 & 4/2014
  • morbid obesity………….......................…5/2014 & 6/2014
  • narcolepsy….…………...........................7/2014 & 8/2014
  • dermatomyositis…….......................……9/2014 & 10/2014
  • chronic fatigue syndrome…................….11/2014 & 12/2014
These SoPs revoke the SoPs previously determined for these conditions.

Determined new Statements of Principles (SoPs) for:
  • fibromyalgia……..….....................………13/2014 & 14/2014
  • sick sinus syndrome…...........................15/2014 & 16/2014
Determined Amendment Statements of Principles (SoPs) for:
  • Alzheimer-type dementia……..…..………17/2014 & 18/2014
These determinations conclude the previously advertised investigations into:
  • heart block
  • dental pulp disease - [now known as: dental pulp and apical disease]
  • morbid obesity
  • narcolepsy
  • dermatomyositis
  • chronic fatigue syndrome
  • fibromyalgia
  • sick sinus syndrome
  • Alzheimer-type dementia
 All of the above SoPs take effect from 15 January 2014.
